Whitney Maclons is a senior Litigation Attorney and Accredited Mediator and has been employed at Adriaans Attorneys since January 2014. Whitney is experienced in many areas of legal practice which relate, non-exhaustively, to local and provincial/national government disputes; public administration; contractual disputes; delictual disputes; property law affairs; banking litigation and foreclosures; urgent applications; residential evictions; farm-worker/labour tenants evictions in terms of ESTA; insolvent and solvent commercial liquidations; debt recovery; taxations etcetera as well as general Company Secretarial work.

Whitney, in addition to being a national Conflicts Dynamics Accredited Mediator (SA) as well as an international CEDR Accredited Mediator (UK), holds a Master’s Degree in Mediation (Labour & Mercantile Law). She is both passionate and committed to resolving conflict innovatively and peacefully. She currently works with Magistrates in providing on-going Pro Bono Mediation services at a local Magistrates’ Court.

Whitney also serves on the Legal Practice Council's (LPC) Disciplinary / Investigation Committee constituted in terms of Section 37(1) of the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 read with Section 6(1)(a)(x) and Regulation 5(2)(m)). The Investigation Committee's statutory powers and functions include inter alia conducting investigations and inquiries into claims of misconduct against legal practitioners, candidate legal practitioners and juristic entities, and determining whether such conduct amounts to misconduct in terms of the national LPC legislation and regulations governing the legal profession.

Whitney joined Adriaans Attorneys as a Candidate Attorney in 2014 and was appointed as an Associate in 2016. In December 2021 she was promoted to Director.
