From humble beginnings to our current status as a proud black-owned law firm in Cape Town, our journey has been marked by challenges and triumphs. We have navigated the turbulent waters of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have emerged stronger and more resilient. Our firm has had the privilege of winning high-profile matters in the highest courts of South Africa, and we have attracted and retained top talent in the industry.
As I reflect on our journey, I am reminded that our success is not solely the result of one person’s dream or vision. In 2024, we embarked on an exciting rebranding journey, adopting a new slogan that encapsulates our core values: “Attentive – to needs, Adept – in law, and Accessible – always.” This rebranding marked a significant shift in our firm’s trajectory as we reaffirmed our commitment to providing exceptional client services, leveraging our expertise, and being readily available to our clients.
The three animals depicted on our website – the owl, elephant, and cheetah – serve as powerful symbols of our values. The adept owl represents wisdom and strategic foresight, reflecting our depth of legal expertise and ability to provide effective solutions for our clients. The attentive elephant symbolises our emotional intelligence and empathy, embodying our commitment to genuinely understanding and responding to the unique needs of each client. The accessible cheetah’s swift adaptability epitomises our promise of accessibility and responsiveness, demonstrating our ability to adapt swiftly to the dynamic legal environment.
When we started out 15 years ago, we had a strong foundation in Dispute Resolution: litigation and arbitration law. Over the years, we have expanded our capabilities and service offerings to cater to the diverse needs of our clients. Today, we proudly provide legal services in Banking and Finance law, Corporate and Commercial law, Employment Law, Energy law, Tax services, Mediation, Real Estate law, and Trust and Estates law, among many other sectors and industries.
